Wine Country
We drove from Carson City through Reno through Donner Pass into California. Once we got into California, the
condition of the roads got very bad and continued through California. We Wal-Marted one night at Sacramento, but
did not see much of the city. We were going to see Bucky, Lindsay's nephew in downtown San Fransisco and did not
want to drive the coach into town. We stopped at Vallejo and camped for 3 days at a campground and were able to go
spend the night at Bucky's. (See San Francisco section). We were only about 35 miles from my old high school friend
(Joe Hensley) so we went through the Napa Valley up to see him and his girl friend Celeste Food, also from Fort
Myers. They own the Aurora Park Cottages in Calistoga which is in the wine country. We tried some tastings, but it
was all expensive stuff and I didn't want to spoil Nancy..
