Paula and Dennis Bayuck lived across the street from us for 5 years when we lived in Portage, MI. We moved
back to Florida and a few years later they moved also. We were able to reconnect via the internet and stopped in
to see them as we went t St. Louis. Dennis is unusual in that he had a heart transplant in 2004. The heart came
from a young girl who was killed in a motorcycle accident. He is doing well, but was given only a 10% chance of
life before the transplant. Science is wonderful. Hopefully these advances will continue after socialized medicine
starts, but I wonder. Little Michelle was about 4 and played with Mary Lynn. Tavia was just a young 2 years old
and did not remember anything about Portage. It was great seeing them again and it is amazing how nobody had
changed a bit in 30 plus years.
