New Orleans Delta area
We went down to the lower coastal areas of Louisiana expecting to see little fishing villages and shanty's. We were mistaken.
The whole area is fishing and a service industry for the off shore oil well. We went down one side of the 30 mile canal that was
almost lined with fishing boats. Down at the coast we saw very many large service boats and helicopters for the oil industry. It
looks pretty much like the salt marshes of Florida and Ga. We had lunch at a little restaurant down at the bottom of the state.
Crossing the Mississippi river.
Too early to stop, but it sure looked good
All the graves are above ground because of the high water level.
One of many fishing boats.
