New Burn, North Carolina
We had stayed at Wal-Mart's the two previous nights, so we decided to stay at the KOA at New Burn, North
Carolina. It is a beautiful old historic city on the water. There are a maize of bridges. We stopped at the
tourist info center and got some great info. We had stopped at Clayton , NC to see our old friends from
Mount Dora. They ran a rare book store and we spent many an hour on the bench out front solving the
world's problems. We are all retired now and the problems remain. We ate at several nice restaurants, but
nothing to write home about. Did some cooking in the motor home also. Nancy was able to take lots of
pictures in the various cemetery's and saw dares back into the 1700's. Pepsi Cola was invented here and we
went in for a nickel Pepsi for an event they were having. We took the tour of old houses and have included
some pictures below.
Our friends Ron and Noury Buttry.

This was an old time hardware store dating to 1900. One of the most
interesting stores I have ever been into. They have everything.
An old PURE gas station converted into lawyers offices. We
probably need the gas stations a lot's worse.
Bears were everywhere as Bern was name for the Swiss town
meaning Bear.
