Morehead City, North Carolina
After Leaving New Bern, we traveled South to Morehead City with the intention of staying several days and taking the ferry from
Ceder Point over to Ocracoke. We stayed in the Wal-Mart and decided to leave after one night as after the trip out to the ferry, it
was very desolate. They were having a parade downtown also. We went out to the barrier island and it was very commercialized.
We drove up to the next point to catch the ferry thinking we might be able to boondock there and catch the ferry the next morning.
There were spots on the ferry (we took 3 of them). I have posted below some nice shots of the salt marshes and of the 3 ferry trips
we took that day (2 20 minutes and a 2 1/2 hour one.)
