Mary Lynn's 40th Birthday Party
Hard to believe, but little Mary Lynn is now 40 years old. Seems like yesterday when she appeared on the scene. She
was so tiny and look so much like Nancy, my heart was taken away immediately and is still there. As an only child, she
never realized she was a child and was upset he had to sit with the kids at Thanksgiving dinner. Nancy's Mother was
very big on birthdays and so is Nancy. Nancy went hog wild on her birthdays. Nancy had a animal cake book and used
to cut out various animals into cakes. Nancy made a bear cake, a bunny rabbit cake, a doll house, gymnastics girl doing
a back bend and a witch among others. For one of her 2nd and 3d birthday parties, (She usually had at least 3 parties
around her birthday.) Nancy made bunt cake and put a doll in the center. The cake became a huge dress and was
decorated as a formal dress (like Scarlett O'Harah.) Nancy's Dad came to the party and a picture of Nancy,
Granddaddy Canes and Nancy is shown at one of the pictures. For the 40th, Nancy reproduced the bunt cake and
dress affect. May Lynn and Darryl came up for the party and to help me pressure wash the dock. We had it all laid out
and captured it on film. She was very touched about it.

Nancy had not lost the old touch. Beautiful looking dress. Mary Lynn was thrilled.

Heidi is now 12, we almost lost her at 2.
Darryl's birthday is several weeks after Mary Lynn's. Nancy always gets him a ton of stuff. This
year was no different, Nancy loved Mary Lynn's cake so much, that she made Darryl a real neat
football field and a Florida Gator.
