King Ranch Kingville, Texas
|
We visited the famous King Ranch. It was extremely interesting as we took a 2 hour guided bus tour. The
ranch cover more territory than the state of Rhode Island. It was started about 165 years ago and has grown
and prospered ever since. It produces about 700 head of cattle for market each week and is well known for
it's quarter horses. It won the triple crown in 1946 and the first 2 legs of it 4 year later. It has 100's of
thousand acres of crop lands and also has acreage of citrus in Florida. We ended up spending the night at
Wally World again and moved on down towards Brownsville the following morning. We also went to their
museum and saddle shop.
