Carabelle and entire area here was suffering from the affects of several hurricanes and the nationwide building slump. We saw
about half of the waterfront homes for sale. It was amazing. We would remark about when one wasn't for sale. We saw very few
fishing and one only oystering. Last time there were 1,000's. Wonder if the hurricanes affected the oyster beds. The next day when
going back through, we saw more fishing boats out, but not as many as before.
