Our good friends, Lester and Anne were showing their 1955 MG TF in a British Car Show in Winter Park on Saturday.
We drove down to see the cars. There were about 75 English cars at the show of various makes and models. Anne
and Lester's took first prize in their division and it is a real beauty. Absolutely in mint showroom condition. Anne bought
the car as a young lady in Atlanta in 1965 as an everyday car and then gave it to Lester in 1967 as a wedding present.
It was used as an everyday car up until 2000 when they started a 5 year restoration. Anne did the upholstery herself
and they did much of the work themselves. It is a labor of love and is extremely well done. Nancy's and my first car was
a 1960 English Ford Anglia 105 E and we were looking to see one, but there was not one at the show. My high school
dream car was a Austin Healy 3000 6 cylinder and there were many there. I also loved the Jaguar XK 120 and 140 and
several of each were repreesented.I really liked the replica Morgan 2003 also. Had the looks of a 50 year old, but the
mechanics of a 21st century vehicle.
