We love museum's of Natural history and unfortunately the national one in Washington was only partly
open when we were there, so we were thrilled to see the Florida one in Gainesville. It was amazingly
done by the University and should not be missed. They take you from the very early days  million year
ago to today. Florida has changed from a small nub blow what is now Georgia to at least double it's
present size as the sea level has changed. Sea level change is a natural function as the climate
changes. The formation of  the land bridge from South America to North America allowed many new
species of animals and plants to arrive in Florida. This was an extremely interesting trip. We went twice.
The first time we didn't have the camera, so we went back the next day to photograph many exhibits. I
feel much better informed about my state now.
