Cotillion Southern Café
I was watching "The Back of the House" which is a local TV show where they visit local restaurants and video
the kitchens and talk to the chef's about various of their recipes. They did a fairly new Restaurant in Wildwood
called the Cotillion Southern Café. It is in an old bank building in downtown Wildwood. The food is just delicious
and right up our alley.. Southern. I had the Shrimp and Cheese Grits. Very good. Sauteed onions, 3 kinds of bell
peppers, mushrooms, 6 extra jumbo shrimp, spices, garlic, white wine, butter, and heavy cream (the diet plate). It
was extremely good, probably the best I have ever had including what I have made myself. Nancy had shrimp
salad. It had lots of shrimp. She put her salad dressing on it. It was also very good. We got a big slice of
homemade coconut cake. Nancy's Mother made the best coconut cake ever and this was almost as good.
My dish of shrimp and grits. Outstanding.
Nancy's shrimp salad.
We split a piece of coconut cake.
We went back for the third time in November 09. We took our daughter Mary Lynn with us. It was also very good. I got shrimp and grits again and it was
super. Mary Lynn got meatloaf which was extremely good. The cut it down the middle and put creamed potatoes in the middle. It was sweet. Nancy got
shrimp salad. We shared two pieces of cake ... Coconut and carrot. Boy were they good.
Mary Lynn drooling over the desert table. 4 kinds of cake and 3 kinds of
pie. No wonder they are so busy.
